I met a very nice Japanese man this weekend. He gave my children small gifts and gave me some green tea that is made by his family. His last name is Nishio and he lives in Kyoto. I tried the Green Tea and really liked it. I have been a coffee drinker my entire life and will try a change. I googled and found your web site. My question is, where can I find a good web site to purchase articles for green tea ceremonies? Also, I found while browsing that Nishio city is the agricultural hotbed for the best green tea in Japan. How many Nishio families are there that make green tea? And finally, the green tea he gave me comes in an olive green envelope, nicely packaged and is what he called Sencha? What are the main differences between this and the powder called Mancha I have read about tonight. Thank You in advance for your answers.

Hello. I read your article on Eigo-de Syabera Night textbook. Actually my mother recomended it.Her name is Ayami Kobashi. And she sent an e-mail to you and you reply to her. I\'m also interested in tea ceremony. when I\'ve been to UK as a student,I couldon\'t explain it in English properly. The reason is not only my englsh, but also my knowledge of it. I admire you.

Hi Randy san / Soei Sensei.
A beautifully constructed web site and very informative.
Sensei, having known you now for well over a dozen years, I can conclusively state that your students should be honored to have you as their "guide" to sado.
I hope you will continue to honor us by attending the annual Budo seminar in Katsuura City. It is because of people like Soei sensei that keeps me flying in to Japan from Vancouver to ensure I get the top quality instruction that only sensei can provide.
Good Luck Sensei

I'm a 4-year student of the university in Kyoto. I've never stepped in the world of tea ceremony though I've been longing for it. I knew Soei Sensei in the magazine "Eigo de shabera-night" the other day. So, I was interseted in him and saw the homepage of him. I'm looking forward to viting the lesson on next Thursday.

Hello Soei Sensei,
It's interesting to try to understand Rikyu's words in English.
In looking for the date of the next Urasenke International Seminar, I happened to meet you.
The seminars are said to be held twice a year in Kyoto. I've never attended one ,though.
I would very much appreciate receiving information about the Seminar from YOU.
Thank you in Advance!
